Shoho Kuebast received priest ordination from Vanja Palmers in the Kobun Chino Roshi lineage before moving from Germany to USA. She trained at the San Francisco Zen Center with Reb Anderson Roshi and served as Shuso in 2008 before leaving the Zen training to enrich her Buddhist understanding through Tibetan Buddhist practices. She is now studying with various teachers in the Nyingma tradition as well as within a Buddhist studies MA program online at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute, Kathmandu.
In our effort to understand emptiness, one easily overlooks the crucial function of compassion (and vice versa). On the Bodhisattva Path, these two: emptiness and compassion are held in union. To understand the practical implication of that, we will look at the three types of compassion that reflect the increasing wisdom of the practitioner.
