Sundays in the Garden

Sunday mornings from 10am – 12pm

Join us on for the opportunity to engage in (mostly) silent work-practice in the beautiful Austin Zen Center garden, led by long-term practitioner, Sherry Mason. We made great progress with clearing debris, weeding, and sprucing things up and will focus the next few Sundays on getting plants in the ground. Other garden activities include pruning, digging, planting, mulching, raking, path-maintenance, and more general clean-up. Most recently we completed a very large bamboo mitigation project (see the details), and now have a clean slate for designing an outdoor area if anyone would like to take this on. Otherwise we can simply disperse wildflower seeds. Please contact Head of Grounds Sherry Mason for more information, or sign up on our volunteer form!
