Dharma Relief – Providing PPE support Today

Compassionate action is the heart of Buddhist practice.

Join AZC and other Buddhist sanghas in Dharma Relief’s efforts to provide the right resources to support our healthcare workers on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic. There are two ways to be of direct benefit:

(1) Donate funds:

100% of the funds donated will be used to purchase and distribute FDA approved surgical masks to as many different hospitals in North America as possible.

(2) Coordination:

First, help spread the word of the Dharma Relief project on social media and with your fellow sangha members, neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family.

Second, volunteer to act as a satellite point in coordinating the distribution of purchased masks.

A few words from dharma friend & relief coordinator Greg Benza: Dharma Relief is an effort to unite all Buddhist traditions to not only help our healthcare workers but also each Dharma center. It would allow our volunteers the opportunity to do something concrete about the pandemic. Specifically, we need a couple of satellite coordinators to contact local large hospitals that house coronavirus patients so we can ship FDA approved class 2 surgical masks directly to them. This would entail finding the shipping information for hospital shipping departments, getting contact name and phone number. This is not a huge time commitment, just finding one hospital a day is immensely helpful. As soon as Dharma Relief has the contact information for the shipping department, 2 boxes of 2,000 masks will be shipped that evening! Feel free to contact me (Greg Benza) if interested.
