The AZC Board of Directors thanks you in advance as you help us get our ducks in a row!

Austin Zen Center is wholly funded by its members’ and supporters’ generosity. The commitment that our sangha makes to AZC is the foundation of everything that we do, from maintaining our temple to making practice accessible and widely available. Active membership nourishes AZC with its time, treasure, and talent to enhance and express the practice of Zen. 

The Board of Directors of the Austin Zen Center has reorganized our center’s approach to membership. In an effort to help us more precisely create our annual budgets and maintain an accurate membership roster, we are running an annual membership campaign through September 2021. Annual memberships will run from September 2021 through August 31, 2022.

In the coming week, we will launch our new Annual Membership Form and ask you to fill it out. Filling out our new form will help us more accurately plan and budget for the year ahead. Your current membership will continue as is unless you let us know that you want to make a change. 

In practice this will be a small change for the current members of AZC, but it is a change in process, so please bear with us as we try to get it right. At this moment of reconnection, we are reminded of how rare, and incredibly fortunate, it is to be living in a city where there is a temple for our practice. Few people have the opportunity to practice with teachers and fellow sangha members. Our gratitude for the opportunity to meet the dharma in this lifetime can be expressed in our commitment to support the temple through our practice of giving.
