Remember and honor those who have passed.

At last we are ready to formally dedicate our long-planned memorial garden. The idea of the garden began as a memorial for long time AZC sangha member Mark Bykoski and will serve as a memorial space for remembering all who have made the transition from this world. We will have an Eye Opening ceremony for the Jizo figure at the center of the space, chant, and hang papers with names and wishes for those who have passed. A reception follows.
“Whether it is separated into drops or not, water is water. Our life and death are the same thing. When we realize this fact we have no fear of death anymore, and we have no actual difficulty in our life. “
– Shunryu Suzuki
