AZC 2020 Annual Membership Meeting and Community Brunch

Following the Saturday morning meditation and chanting service, we’ll be kicking off our Annual Meeting with a Community Brunch from 10:15-11:00, followed by our meeting from 10:45-12:45. All current members (and prospective or lapsed members) are encouraged to join us!

We’ll hear from the AZC Board and Practice Leadership on the spiritual and financial health of our temple, and current pledging members will have an opportunity to vote on a slate of incoming Board members. We’ll close our time together with a brief ceremony in which we’ll each offer incense and sign the yearly membership book. We look forward to seeing you there!

Have questions or suggestions on what you’d like to see on the Annual Meeting agenda? On Wednesday evening February 26th there will be a Community Council Visioning Meeting in preparation for our Annual Meeting.

About the AZC Board of Directors: The Austin Zen Center is governed by a board of directors which includes a president, treasurer, secretary, between 2-6 general voting members, and two ex-officio, non-voting members (the Head Teacher and Director). The bylaws require the Board include at least 5 elected voting members who serve staggered three-year terms. Elections are held during the AZC Annual Meeting, usually in February or March. Directors have regular monthly meetings, and exercise ordinary business judgment in managing the affairs of the Austin Zen Center.
