A Letter to the Sangha from Tim Kroll

Dear Sangha Friends!

I hope this finds you well, and perhaps experiencing some winter quiet during this holiday season. I have been missing you all, I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to write. Right now I’m up in Wisconsin visiting my partner, Isabel’s family. It’s been a nice break so far after a wonderful, and full, experience during the Tassajara Practice Period.

It was wonderful to be here (and now back) at Tassajara with Pat during the Fall Practice Period, who was always smiling as she walked the Tassajara paths looking for birds. It was also so great to have Mako here for a sesshin! Of course Joshin has also been here for the Fall Practice Period too. And now Kodo is coming to be Shuso next month. AZC is very well represented at Tassajara these days!

I do hope to see you all before too long. I have decided to stay at Tassajara for a little while longer, and will be the Shika or Guest Manager here during the next Practice Period. But I hope to visit when I can and hope to see some of you if AZC has a sangha week this spring or summer.

Wishing you all the best for the new year,

Warm bows,

Tim

P.S. Sending my deep, profound gratitude to all of you for the many ways you have supported my practice and this transition into priesthood. Thank you so much!!!
