Rev. Colin Gipson is the Guiding Teacher of the San Antonio Zen Center. He was born in Austin and raised in central Texas. Colin began practicing at the Austin Zen Center in 2000. He was ordained in 2003 and practiced at San Francisco Zen Center, City Center and Tassajara Zen Mountain Center for seven years. He was Shuso (Head Student) in 2010 at Austin Zen Center and received Shiho (Dharma Transmission) from his teacher, Kosho McCall in October 2014.
