One Day Zazenkai

Zazenkai means a meeting for zazen. Our usual practice has been to offer a half day of ‘just sitting’ approximately each month, without a dharma talk, service, or meals. This month I would like to offer a different form of zazenkai as a way of renewing our dedication to practice: a full day, with the usual schedule from 8-12, and hour break for individual silent lunch (bring or buy your own), and then resuming at 1pm for another four hours. As with the usual morning sitting, the periods of zazen will be 25 min., with 10 min. of walking meditation in between.

It is fine to sit any part of the day, as much or as little as works for you. The intention of this offering is to provide the opportunity to sit longer for those who wish to and to extend the sitting to afternoon if that works better for you.

Just come to enjoy the quiet time, and to deepen your meditation through an extended period of sitting.

Please contact Rev. Choro Antonaccio with any questions.
