Celebrating 25 Years of Practice at Zenkei-Ji
“Zen is really just a reminder to stay alive and be awake.”
— Zenkei Blanche Hartman Roshi
This August will mark a meaningful milestone for Austin Zen Center: the 25th anniversary of the founding of Zenki-ji (Inconceivable Joy) Temple. This anniversary is both a celebration and a moment of deep gratitude – for our founders and teachers and for everyone who has helped sustain this temple across the years. Our 25th anniversary celebration will take place this fall, and we look forward to honoring this moment together with ceremony, reflection, and joy. More details will be shared soon.
As part of this celebration, we also invite you to share what Zenki-ji and Austin Zen Center has meant in your life and your practice. You are encouraged to contribute any of the following:
- Written memories or reflections
- Photographs
- Short audio recordings
- Stories of how practice at AZC has touched your life
Whether it is a single moment, a long arc of practice, or something still unfolding, your offering is welcome. Please use the form linked on this page to share your stories. Contributions may be included in anniversary displays, online offerings, or other commemorations.
Thank you for being part of this sangha, and for helping shape what Austin Zen Center has been, is now, and will become. We look forward to celebrating together.
You can submit your contributions via the form button below, or via the email button next to it. If you have any difficulties, please feel free to reach out to the Temple Administrator.
