Yakuso Ryushin (Healing Source Dragon Heart) Andrea Thach began formal Zen practice in 1999 at the Berkeley Zen Center where she was lay-ordained in 2000 by Maylie Scott.  She received priest ordination in 2005, was Shuso in 2009 and dharma transmission in 2015 from Sojun Mel Weitsman.  She studied for many years with Shohaku Okumura Roshi and practiced and taught at Red Cedar Zen Community in Bellingham, WA from 2016-2019.  She has held all the major positions at Berkeley Zen Center where she currently is a teacher.
