Saturday, May 9th at 10:15am
This celebration is common to many Buddhist sanghas. We’ll listen to a short reading of the story of the Buddha’s birth followed by an offering of sweet tea, strawberries and birthday cake. Then, the sangha will circumambulate the space while chanting the Shin Gyo and strewing flower petals.
We’ll take turns offering incense and bathing the baby Buddha with sweet tea in his flower pagoda. Stay after the ceremony for cake.
Children are welcome to this family-friendly event!
