While we wait for the cabinets to be manufactured, the contractor team is determining the best way to address the many layers of old paint on the walls.  Quite a lot of scraping and sanding will need to take place before priming and painting.  These pictures show the initial steps of this process. 

You can also see a photo of the window facing the carriage house.  The pulley system which opens the window has been broken for some time, so the renovation gives us the opportunity to properly repair it before applying paint.
