If you have been to the Zen Center recently, you have likely noticed that our long-anticipated kitchen remodel project has been delayed.  Our general contractor planned for the work to begin in mid-August and be completed by now. However, the City of Austin has yet to issue the necessary permits, even though the contractor enlisted an expeditor.  We don’t know when that application will be reviewed and/or approved.  The Kitchen Remodel Committee, AZC Board, practice leaders, and the residents wish it were otherwise.  

 

A huge thank you and deep bows to all sangha members who have donated their time and their money to this project.  We are confident our hard work and your generous donations will come to fruition.  The project will be completed, hopefully sooner rather than later.  The Remodel Committee is committed to providing updates as things unfold.  Thank you for your continued patience.
