Fall Practice Period Opening Ceremony October 11th

The eight week practice period or Ango (Japanese for “peaceful dwelling”), is an annual feature of the AZC calendar.  During this time we increase our commitment to practice together, adding to our usual offerings of zazen, ceremonies, and training opportunities.

This year we have a senior visiting teacher, Rev. Ryushin Thach, who will be co-leading the Ango with Choro, offering a class of her own, and bringing her practice and experience to the AZC sangha.

Whether or not you are registered for Ango or planning to participate in any particular activity, all are welcome to the brief opening ceremony on Oct. 11 after our regular service.  Please join us! and stay to hear the first dharma talk, offered by Rev. Choro, and some information about this year’s particular offerings.
