October 24th – December 12th, 2026
You are warmly invited to a modified fall angō at Austin Zen Center. For six weeks, with a break for Thanksgiving and including the 7-day Rohatsu winter retreat, we will intensify our practice together, with our ongoing schedule of zazen and chanting as our refuge.
Registration for the class and the retreats coming soon.
While there is no cost to participate in the general practice period, donations to the center are much appreciated. You can also give dana directly to a teacher as gratitude for their teaching.
Rev. Choro Antonaccio will offer a study class, open to everyone, on Tenshin Reb Anderson’s recent book, Nothing to Attain.
We will meet Thursdays 6:45p – 8p for 5 weeks, October 22 – November 19.
Schedule:
- October 24th – Formal beginning of the intensive, One Day Sitting
- October 30th – Annual Sejiki Ceremony
- November (Dates TBD) – Weekend Retreat
- December 4th – 11th – Rohatsu Sesshin
- December 12th – Celebration of Buddha’s Enlightenment
Unlike our usual fall angō, this one will not include sangha gatherings (usually on Saturday after regular program) and will be two weeks shorter.
We are planning to offer another practice intensive in Spring of 2027 (Dates TBD).
