The Family Dharma Program is designed to introduce children to the rituals and forms of our Zen tradition through songs, stories, games, art projects, and discussions in a patient and tender-hearted way. Our activities are currently aimed at elementary aged children (4-10 years), but all are welcome. Each meeting typically involves a central theme, a story, age-appropriate meditation, a guided activity, snacks, and an opportunity for parent discussion and socializing.
Our aim is to nurture and support our family sangha and to practice the wisdom of the middle way through mindfulness, compassion, and the practice of loving-kindness.
Saturday Children’s Program during the Dharma talk (once a month)
Weeknight evening program during the fall and spring (proposed)
Special events throughout the year- Spring Fair, Dana Day, Movie Night
All of our volunteers have been thoroughly screened and passed a background check. If you are interested in joining our email list or volunteering for our program please contact Justin.
