Branching Streams

Branching Streams is a program that involves the affiliates of the San Francisco Zen Center. For us it means creating a more organized relationship between the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio Zen Centers in conjunction with the SFZC for the purpose of sharing visiting teachers, and coordinating special events with each other. We are working toward a gathering of these three Texas centers of Branching Streams in Houston sometime next year.

The coordinators in the centers are Lane Stuckey of SFZC, Anne Handley of AZC, Joe Castelberry of HZC, and Gerald Schulz of SAZC.

Vulnerability in Practice

Tibetan Girl

Practice makes us vulnerable. We are led to let the carapace of protection drop and to soften into a new way of being. What of our old protective habits of fear and retreat, anger and blame? This issue of JustThis speaks of the joys and sorrows of opening to our vulnerability.
