Candlelight Vigil for Tibet

Austin City Hall Plaza, Cesar Chavez and Lavaca

Wednesday, April 9th, 7 to 9 p.m.


Come join us in support of universal freedom and human rights. Through this event, we hope to raise awareness about the current tragic conditions in Tibet and extend compassion to all people who are suffering in this situation. The vigil occurs on the day of the Beijing Olympic torch passing through San Francisco - the only stop in North America. The candlelight vigil will include offerings of music, meditation and inspirational readings from representatives of various Austin groups who are concerned about all people who are suffering.
