[Discussion-AZC] Festival of Buddhist Communities Sat May 3 - need snacks

Dear Zen Center Members and Friends,

This Saturday, May 3 the Buddhist Peace Fellowship will be holding a Festival of
Austin Buddhist Groups who will participate by talking about their practices and
leading visitors in practice meditations of many kinds. The Austin Zen Center
will participate by holding the opening ceremony of 108 bells, giving a
talk/leading a meditation and Anita S. will give a tea ceremony offering tea to
the Buddha as the closing of the Festival.

The last time the Festival was held was in 2004. It was a great success with
about 200 persons attending at AZC. If you have time to attend, I think you
will enjoy the activities and meeting other sanghas in Austin.

We are serving tea and lemonade and cookies and other snacks.
I am looking for a few people to bring cookies, other baked goods or non sugar
snacks that do not need refrigeration. If you would like to donate something,
please reply to this email. You can bring your item to the Festival or drop it
off at AZC between 9 and 11 am.
