[Discussion-AZC] Buddha's Birthday

Hi out there!  Sat. is Buddha's Birthday Celebration.

It can be a simple addition to our Saturday program or can become a  
bit more
child oriented.........but only if there are parents who want to help  
make it happen


So if it is the simple one - we will follow the Sat. schedule and  
include a short
reading of the story of birth and a circumambulation and bathing of  
the statue
followed by birthday cake.  This would happen 10:45.

If kids are included with gusto there are many fun things to have  
happen.  So
parents connect with me asap if  you want to encourage kids to  
participate.

we can have bubbles
kids decorating cakes
kids in the ceremony throwing flower petals
kids bringing picnic lunches with parents and
so on.
